A Glimpse into Our Journey
The Bhutanese Buddhist and Cultural Centre, Canberra Incorporated was established in 2017 upon the blessings of the Central Monastic Body of Bhutan (Zhung Dratshang), with the noble aim of promoting Bhutanese culture and providing religious and spiritual services to the Bhutanese community in Canberra.
Since 2023 we have been registered as a Charity Organization under the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC).
With great joy and collective effort, we have now purchased a property that functions as the residence of our Resident Lam appointed by the Zhung Dratshang. This sacred space shall remain the property of the Bhutanese community under the guidance and patronage of the Zhung Dratshang, serving present and future generations as a place of prayer, learning, and unity.
We therefore humbly urge all members of the Bhutanese community in Canberra to kindly extend your continued support towards the Bhutanese Centre. Your contribution, in whatever capacity possible, will help secure and sustain our Bhutanese Centre as a lasting spiritual home for our community and fulfill our long-term mission of building a Bhutanese Temple.
